 Our History
The mother/daughter team of Lynn
Rabinowitz and Rachel Rabinowitz Reiss took over the
operations of Hedy Shepard, Ltd. in the spring of 2000 from
the original store owner and namesake. The store is located
in Princeton Boro and specializes in wardrobe essentials
with day to evening dressing.
The first store opened 25 years ago in Yardley, Bucks
County, PA, and has been in Princeton for 20 years. Rachel
Reiss worked as an assistant and a buyer for the former
owner for almost 10 years. As Lynn and Rachel developed
their own style and personality in the store, they started
to realize that the direction they would be taking would
result in a change. The customers were between their own
ages, and the buying and merchandising was done by both of
them. The movement to the next level resulted in an item
driven store, dressing customers from 35 to 70.
 Together, Lynn and Rachel have skillfully developed a
reputation for outstanding, caring service to their
customers, as well as fairness and reliability with their
vendors, and a quality presence in the Princeton community.
